I had a bit of crafting fun this week! I attended our team event (virtually, of course!) and for a little fun  we did a mystery card.  

What is a mystery card?!?

It's when you are given a list of supplies that you need to prepare but you have no idea exactly what you are doing with them! 

I knew I wanted to use the Dragonfly Garden stamp set as I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I didn't have time to prep it for myself so I asked my daughter to choose the cardstock and designer series paper (DSP) pattern. Because she cut it, this was a double mystery for me!

I love the fancy fold of this one too!

Spring Blog Hop

I’m very excited to participate in this blog hop!  It is my very first blog hop and is the realization of one of my new year’s goals.

Spring is the theme for this blog hop!  I, for one, can’t wait for the warmer weather to come and stay! One of my favourite signs of spring is the return of birds and the opening of the butterfly gardens at our local zoo.

I’ve chose to use the Fluttering and Floating stamp set along with the Fluttering dies to create my card.  I’ve used ink pads as well as the Stampin’ Blends, in Mango Melody (light and dark), Pumpkin Pie (dark), Flirty Flamingo (light and dark) and Misty Moonlight (light and dark) to colour the butterfly wings.  I love the variety that mixing both mediums gives.

Pampered Pets

If you've been following my family's adventures over the last few weeks, you'll know that we've had nine little house guests. Beginning on December 28th, 2020 we took in a foster litter of nine puppies and their mom. Unfortunately, mom had a medical emergency and was unable to stay with the puppies. Thankfully, she came through her surgery fine but she left us to bottle feed all the puppies. Needless to say, we've gotten quite attached to this litter.  One of the puppies, Artemis, will be staying with us forever but the remaining eight puppies will be heading to their adopting families on Wednesday.

These guys have provided us we so many laughs over the last few weeks and they have grown and changed so much, I couldn't let them leave without a few good wishes from me.

The Pampered Pets bundle was perfect to create a project to send them off! I stamped the dog image in Memento ink and then coloured them to look like some of the puppies as much as possible.  I used both the light and dark blends in Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Cinnamon Cider as well as the Bronze blend on Whisper White paper (now replaced with Basic White).

The dog image was cut with the die and is a perfect fit for the front of the card.  I paired it up with a cute piece from the Playful Pets Designer Series Paper.
